Location Scouting

As the Location Manager, I have organised for some members of the group to individually search for appropriate locations, including myself. Below our some of the locations we found appropriate and thought would work well.

My Home

Cailins Home

Holly Wood Forest

King Georges Park

We finally chose to film our sequence in Hollywood Forest and in my home. The locations are relatively close to each other, making it very efficient and saves us time, as we wont need to waste time travelling to locations.

We chose my house in particular as it conveyed many conventions of the thriller genre. We particularly liked the chesterfield chairs in my house as we thought it looked very similar to many we had seen in model psychiatric offices. My home comes across very antique, and we feel that this a huge advantage for our film as antique objects generally come across as gothic and creepy.

We chose to for our forest to be hollywood as it relatively close to our other location, saving us time allowing us to spend more time on filming. Hollywood has very unique and original aspects. There is a particular mysterious circle in the middle of the forest where it appears to have been burnt. We thought this would keep wonder going through the audience's mind keeping a tight grasp of their full attention.
